Sewing Machine Basics Workshop - March 21, 2023

Do you have a sewing machine collecting dust? Too intimidated to set it up? Do you dream of being able to hem your own pants or curtains but all the YouTube tutorials confuse you? Grab your machine and I'll show you how it's done!

Workshop Details:

• When: Tuesday, March 21st, 2023 7pm - 9pm
• Where: Hello Maker DIY Studio - 717 Richmond ST Suite 202

Skill level: Beginner. No experience required

This 2 hour long workshop will cover the fundamentals of  including;

• How to properly set up/thread a sewing machine
• How to wind a bobbin
• How to set correct tension
  
• Basic machine maintenance and trouble shooting
• How to sew a perfectly straight seam

We will then take those basic skills and apply them to your very first sewing project - a fabric bookmark!

Registrants must bring their own sewing machine and ensure it is in working condition prior to arriving. Please ensure your machine has a needle installed.

Fabric and thread provided by facilitator.
